Mark Aiston

Managing Director

Mark founded AFC Fire in 2014 with a clear vision to provide the best solutions, at the best price, and in the best timeframe to ensure complete customer satisfaction. He had become frustrated with the poor levels of communication and service in the fire industry and realised that complete customer focus was the key to success. Consequently, Mark is actively involved in the personal and professional growth and development of the team, as he believes that people are essential to the success of the business. Both he and the rest of the team will always go that extra mile to ensure that customer requirements are met, first time, every time.

Mark believes the professionalism, trust, and reliability within the AFC Fire team, coupled with a true understanding of our clients’ needs and requirements, is key to the continued success of the business.

Alex Aiston

Operations Director

I decided to join my Father in the family business in early 2018. I had no real experience in the fire safety industry, other than selling fire extinguishers, and didn’t really know what to expect. But, I have never looked back. I am now responsible for the day to day running of the business, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments, validation, and management of our team.

My beliefs are in line with my father's i.e. professionalism, trust and reliability, and I also believe that a complete understanding of our customers needs is key to the continued success of AFC Fire.

Joe Chandler

Fire Risk Assessor

I have been working in the fire industry since 2018 as a fire systems engineer focusing on the install, maintenance and commissioning of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguisher. I recently changed career direction to become a fire risk assessor with AFC Fire and Security. The move to fire risk assessing has been a fantastic experience allowing me to use my previous industry knowledge as well as shadowing the highly trained and experienced team at AFC to work towards becoming a competent risk assessor.

Rob Tyler

Fire Extinguisher Specialist

After leaving the Armed Forces in the 1980s, in 1990 I joined the London Fire Brigade. I served across South and Central London for 30 years reaching the rank of Station Officer, where I was the Officer in Charge of a multi appliance Fire Station. Following my 30 year career, I wanted a rewarding job where I could continue to use my knowledge and experience. AFC Fire have a good professional approach in all aspects of Fire Safety. I have found my transition from operational service to AFC Fire very rewarding as I feel I am still helping people to stay safe from fire.

Fire Risk Assessments

A Fire Risk Assessment is a process involving the systematic evaluation of the factors that determine the hazard from fire, the likelihood that there will be a fire, and the consequences if one were to occur.

Fire Door Inspections

Buildings are compartmentalised to delay the spread of fire from one area to another. These are usually linked by fire doors, allowing the flow of traffic around the building.

Passive Fire Protection

Passive Fire Protection is a term used to describe the parts of a building or structure that provide a barrier to fire, containing and slowing the rate at which it spreads.

Training

A comprehensive Fire Safety Training Course at your own premises, which enables you to meet your legal obligations, and to protect staff and property under current Fire Safety Regulations.
